Message from the Head of Department

Welcome to the Department of Biology at the College of Science. Formerly called the Department of Medical Laboratories, the Department of Biology was established accordance to the Minister of Education's approval to the university's council recommendation in its seventh session for the academic year 1436/1437 AH, held on 8/18/1437 AH.

The Department of Biology aims to create a conducive academic environment that promote both research and education that improve student’s cognitive and skill skills in biological sciences and modern biotechnologies. This will allow them to compete in the labor market in line with the Vision 2030.

We encourage you to work collectively to achieve the department’s vision of being a leader in the field of biology, environment, and biotechnology at all levels through studying and solving problems and conducting scientific research that serve the community.
