Department of Physics holds a seminar on surface plasmon resonance and its applications

The Department of Physics held a seminar entitled "Surface Plasmon Resonance and its Applications". The seminar was presented by Dr. Mahmoud Mohamed and addressed the history and origin of surface plasmon resonance and the method of obtaining it from metallic nanometer materials.

Dr. Mohammed also explained the most important applications of surface plasmon resonance in medical and chemical sensors with modern uses. He also presented its applications in both solar cells and ways to improve their efficiency and the medical use of surface plasmon resonance in eliminating cancer cells.

The seminar ended with a Q&A session.
