A seminar held by Department of Physics on Monitoring natural rays and measuring the percentage of radiation

The Department of Physics at the College of Science in Zulfi held a seminar entitled: "Monitoring natural rays and measuring the percentage of radiation". The course was presented by Dr. Muwahed Shakir Khan - Assistant Professor in the department - and addressed how to measure the natural radiation of the elements in nature with their different radiation concentrations.

This study is carried out by monitoring the radiation emitted from some materials and enhancing the principle of general protection from these radiations and the amount of radiation emitted by these materials. A twin chamber radiation scale was used to determine the amount of radiation emitted from radioactive materials.

The principle of the sparking counter device was used to find out the intensity of the emitted radiation and then to know the amount of radiation emitted from the materials on which the study was carried out, and then the analysis of the results that took place during this study and the radiation ratios were reviewed and compared globally with what was observed.

At the end of the lecture, some of the research that were published or under publication in refereed scientific journals (ISI and SCOPUS).
