Second Seminar of Department of Computer Science and Information for academic year 1442-1443 held virtually

In the presence of Dr. Fayez Al-Fayez, Head of Computer Science and Information Department, the second seminar, for the Academic Year 1442-1443 AH, was held virtually using the blackboard system.

Presented by Dr. Motesim al-Khair, the title of the seminar is “Developing a Prediction Model Using J48 Algorithm to Predict Symptoms of COVID-19 causing death”.

The aim of the seminar is to propose a J48 predictive model to determine COVID-19 symptoms that cause death. The model is based on a set of data provided by a website developed by Digital Science Company in cooperation with over 100 renowned research centers over the world.  

The model predicts that the most common symptoms that cause death are Acute kidney injury and coronary heart disease.

 

A Q&A session was conducted for faculty members which was very informative.
