Security in Software Defined Networks

The Department of Computer Science and Information held its third meeting for the academic year 1439/1440 AH, in which Dr. Talal Al Harbi presented a research paper entitled “Security in Software Defined Networks.”

Dr. Talal talked about program-driven networks as more programmable, manageable and as a promising technology in simplifying network management.

He also highlighted the importance of programmatically driven networks as more capable of addressing various security challenges and data traffic monitoring, which in turn facilitates the detection of security threats.

At the end of the meeting, faculty members discussed the topic even further.
