Within the framework of the university's initiative to promote positive concepts of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and in line with the requirements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, the university, represented by the University Vice-Rectorate, implemented the training program "Expert in the applications of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030", which is directed to the leaders of the Ministry of Interior from the agents of the Emirates of the regions for development affairs, governors and general managers of development departments in the emirates and governorates of the Kingdom's regions, at the Ministry of Interior Officers Club in Riyadh, over a period of five days, concluding with a test to determine The level of achievement of participants in this program.

For his part, His Excellency the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Musallam bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, stated that this program comes under the directives of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, and his emphasis on activating qualitative programs that serve the development directions of the state, in order to achieve the requirements of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, pointing out that the interest of the Ministry of Interior and the nomination of advanced leaders in the ministry concerned with development work is an addition to the importance and reliability of this program, and an affirmation of the integrity of the university's vision in this field. The Vice President concluded his statement by thanking the General Administration of Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior for its cooperation with the university in implementing this program, and the Institute of Studies and Consulting Services for its role in managing the implementation of this program, wishing His Excellency success to the program team.

It is worth noting that this program was launched through the University's Social Responsibility Observatory, and with the support of the General Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs at the university in 2018, through which the university's team was built in the field of global goals, and was praised by the presidents of universities and higher education institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and it was recommended at the twenty-first meeting of the Committee of University Presidents to emphasize the importance of benefiting from this initiative at the level of universities and higher education institutions in GCC States, and has also received the attention of a number of ministries and various development institutions.

His Excellency the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations in Geneva, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Wasil, received in his office a delegation of Majmaah University headed by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Mizil, and the delegation participating by the university, and during the meeting, they reviewed the university's efforts and areas of cooperation with the United Nations, which reflect the Kingdom's international efforts and interaction with the international community.

During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Al-Wasil praised the great efforts made by the university, especially with regard to highlighting the Kingdom's efforts and the great strides it has made in implementing the sustainable development goals for 2030.

During the meeting, an agreement was signed to hold training, research and advisory services with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Geneva, in order to enhance cooperation in areas of common interest in training, development and research, and to enhance joint work in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The agreement aims to establish the CEFAL Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the center will be represented from its headquarters in the Kingdom by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and will contribute to the advancement of the United Nations Agenda 2030, and the center will also specialize in supporting sustainable development.

The CEFAL Center in Saudi Arabia joins the twenty-four centers in the CEFAL Global Network, whose mission is to strengthen the capacity of government officials and civil society leaders, enabling them to advance sustainable development.

The network consists of international training centers for bodies and leaders across Asia, Oceania, Africa, Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean, providing innovative learning solutions for individuals, organizations, and institutions to enhance global decision-making and support action at the national level to shape a better future.

The Executive Director of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, Mr. Seth, explained that the service contract agreement with the university will work to develop joint work to support the implementation of the Institute's strategy, implement various capacity-building activities in the fields of cybersecurity and youth empowerment, and promote joint work to achieve the goals of the United Nations and other activities related to sustainable development, and the development of human capital.

Based on the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in developing the innovation system, and in continuation of its efforts to spread the culture of invention to discover inventors and innovators with the aim of supporting them and developing their entrepreneurial products, the university, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, participated in the second phase of the University Innovation Challenge Program for Sustainable Development, within 15 universities across the Kingdom in this program, which is organized by the Ministry of Education in partnership with Prince Mohammed bin Salman College of Business and Entrepreneurship, and Babson College for Entrepreneurship Education, and the United Nations Development Programme.

The University Innovation Challenge for Sustainable Development program aims to develop entrepreneurial and innovative capabilities and employ them in finding solutions to the challenges faced by sustainable development, activating strategic partnerships with local and international bodies, while involving innovative students and faculty members in a global quality educational experience that will contribute to building emerging university projects.

A team from the College of Engineering participated to represent the university in the second phase of the challenge through the S-T-S Learning System project in the presence of His Excellency the President of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Saeed Bajahzar, and under the supervision of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Dakhil Al-Mutairi, and with the participation of students Saud Al-Obaid, Iyad Al-Falih, and Muhammad Al-Mutairi, and the project consists of a learning system that allows knowledge sharing among students, and the possibility of the student helping his colleague in different topics according to specialization, which provides Time and money, also allows discussions and conversations among themselves and the transfer of experiences and knowledge.

From this standpoint, the university held the qualifying ceremony for the first stage, which began with a welcoming speech from the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Jawaher bint Abdulrahman Al-Omar, in which she welcomed the President of the University, the university vice-rectors and the honorable attendees, and clarified the objectives of the university innovation challenge and its launch, and at the end of her speech she thanked the President of the University for the support and encouragement he provides for innovation and entrepreneurship, and then the march of the University Innovation Challenge for Sustainable Development was presented by Dr. Abdullah bin Saeed Bajahzar - Head of the Innovation and Riyada Center Business - He explained in the presentation of the march of the innovative challenge in its first phase at the university that the challenge included a number of stages within the university, as it included discovery, preparation, launch, and qualification of teams, in addition to the formation of teams for competing projects, the formation of judging committees and their distribution to the judging days, in addition to what the program included in workshops, training courses and meetings, which were divided into three sides: Ministry of Education, Mohammed bin Salman College, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at the university, His Excellency also explained that the center received more than 20 ideas from projects for male and female students from various disciplines, colleges and scientific departments, and 14 projects were selected, which achieve the objectives of the challenge, as these projects went through several stages of examination, review and auditing, and the center prepared a unified model for all projects for presentations that included a description of the problem, solutions and target group, in addition to a model Business work, competitor analysis, prototype Prototype, projects were judged by court committees, and at the end of the preliminary qualifiers for the first phase, 8 projects were nominated to move to the finalists, and all teams were in continuous development, as the number of innovative projects nominated in the final qualifiers at the university level reached 5 projects and were presented.

After that, the President of the University honored two teams of female students for their participation in representing the university in a number of competitions and innovative and entrepreneurial challenges who obtained advanced ranks, and His Excellency honored the faculty members who participated in the arbitration in the first stage, and honored all male and female students participating in the university innovation challenge projects.

MU signed a cooperation agreement with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University (IAU) in research and scientific fields and knowledge transfer between the two sides. The memorandum was signed by Prof. Ahmed Rumaih, Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and Dr. Nihad Al-Omair, Vice-Rector for Development and Community Partnership. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ali Al-Saawi, the dean of Research at MU, and Dr. Murad Al-Thubaiti, the dean of College of Engineering at IAU.

The objective of the agreement is to activate research collaboration and knowledge transfer between the two sides, including coordinating and facilitating joint work between researchers, funding joint research of mutual interest and exchanging academic, scientific, research, training, and cultural visits between the two sides.

Prof. Al-Rumaih pointed out that IAU is one of the leading universities in the Eastern Province and the Kingdom, and is well known for its excellence in different specialties. The university signed a cooperation agreement with ccc by stc, where the university was represented in signing this agreement by the Vice President for Educational Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Aboudi, and on the part of ccc by stc Mr. Turki bin Abdulrahman Al-Gharibi This agreement comes from the university's keenness to qualify its students for the two bachelor's stages, and to embody the principle of joint cooperation between the company and the university, and in order to support and strengthen opportunities for mutual cooperation between the two sides with regard to training programs for male and female students. This is done through the acceptance of some university students by the company for practical training at the two stages of the bachelor's degree, and to discuss the best ways to benefit from the experiences of the two parties, databases and research sources in line with the foundations of research ethics, and cooperation between the two parties to serve the community with the aim of supporting students to enter such disciplines and support the authorities based on this type of education and training, in addition to cooperation between the two parties to provide job opportunities for the employees of the two parties in each of them and facilitate procedures in this regard.

For his part, the Vice President of the University, Prof. Dr. Muslim bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, expressed his thanks and appreciation to CCC by stc, for the cooperation they showed that was the fruit of this joint agreement, asking God Almighty to grant success to the two parties and provide what would serve the community.
