VICE-RECTOR FOR GRADUATE STUDIES MEETS DEANS

A meeting was held between the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya’a, and the Dean of Scientific Research, the Dean of Graduate Studies and directors of research centers. The theme of the meeting was “The Role of Scientific Research for Future Prospecting: expectations and visions” and focused on addressing the university vision in the upcoming period with regard to funding scientific research and publishing in renowned journals.
Explaining the university vision, Prof. Al-Shaye said that the university targets faculty members whom are highly encouraged to publish. All forms of fund for scientific research were addressed in the meeting to raise the number of publishing researches including the best strategies that should be used by MU to attract outstanding researchers.
The essential facilities needed to set up labs was discussed and how faculty members and students should utilize these labs for research.
Prof. Al-Shaya’a has also stressed the significance of publishing and translation are among the university’s top priories in the future. The necessity of funding any journal that encourages and training undergraduate and postgraduate students to publish their research was also addressed in the meeting.
The meeting was wrapped up making a number recommendation that will be submitted to MU Rector and the advising board.
