Vice-Rector visits Relocated Data Center

Within the framework of following-up the progress of work on regular basis, the Vice-Rector Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, paid a visit to the Office of the Dean of Information Technology to inspect the relocated data center to new building at main campus.
Welcomed by the Dean Dr. Mohammed Al-Wanien and Vice-Dean for Technical Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zamil, Prof. Al-Dosari was briefed about the process of how the data center was migrated successfully to the new building at the main campus. Through concerted efforts and dedication exerted by several departments under the supervision of the Dean of IT, a professional team from the Vice-Dean’s Office of Information Technology carried out the migration according to a plan set by the Vice-Dean’s Office of IT. At the early stage of migration process, the networking devices was relocated followed by servers, central storage units, data base, backup systems and emergency power.
At the end of the visit, an awarding ceremony was held to award the team members who were behind this work and whom were thanked by the Vice-Rector for their efforts around the clock to ensure the success of the data center migration to new location.
