College of Science organizes a Visit to Zulfi Hospital

In the context of the second semester’s Program Plan, the College of Science in Zulfi, represented by Community Service Unit in the female campus, in collaboration with Department of Chemistry, organized a visit to Public Zulfi Hospital. Radiology, Blood Bank and Laboratory, were visited.
The visit included an explanation of X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and Mammographs devices, as well as reviewing images of some patients. How to deal with the patient, conduct tests, detect hormones and vitamins, identify the blood groups were explained. Furthermore, The devices that measure the minerals in the body, how to sample the recipients and extract the results were identified .The students have applied what they have learned in practice by taking a blood sample from one of the students.
The aim of these applied scientific visits is to consolidate the theoretical information that needs practical application.The visit had a positive impact on the students as most of what was mentioned in the visit has been studied previously in theory; and work mechanism became much more clearer as they saw it on the ground.
