The Community Service Committee in the English Department of the College organized a student exhibition for showcasing students’ works.
The Exhibition started with an introduction of the International Day for Charity and its objectives by Dr. Eman Abdurraheem- Head of Community Service in the English Department.
The first session- entitled “Examples of charity”- was presented by Dr. Eman Abdel Rahim, and the second one by Dr. Fayza Abdullah Hussein addressed the role of community service in the fight against poverty. The third session on 'Youth and Volunteering' was conducted by Ms. Amani Suleiman.
These activities are aimed at:
• Introducing charity
• Learning the various forms of charity as mentioned in the Qur'aan and Sunnah
• Highlighting the role of society in fighting poverty
• Introducing the role of students in voluntary work
• Engaging students in charity work by donating books and clothes to a Charity in Zulfi town
• Distributing brochures about examples of charity
