Biology Department students visit the Health and Basic Colleges Research Center

The Biology Department at the College of Science visited the Health and Basic Colleges Research Center at the the Vice-Rector's Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research. The students were welcomed by the Center's director, Dr. Nayef Al-Rashidi.

During the scientific visit, the students were introduced to the various research laboratories such as the Microbiology Laboratory, the Immunology Laboratory, the Biochemistry Laboratory, and the Multipurpose Health Laboratory. They learned about the modern equipment in these laboratories along with the services and research experiments provided by the center to faculty members and students, including protein analysis and characterization, DNA research, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and genetic analysis. 

They also conducted some educational scientific experiments like producing biological samples and analyzing them biologically and chemically.

At the end of the visit, the students' questions were answered.
