Scientific Board in Brief

 The establishment of the scientific board is of paramount significance for the achievement of the University overall objectives. There are a number of functions for the board including : the recruitment of faculty members, Making the ultimate decision with regard to the promotion of faculty members, Setting rules to encourage academic publications, Recommending the establishment of academic institutions and the coordination with quality centers.

The board which was formed on 1/4/1431 H, is chaired by His Excellency the vice-rector for postgraduate studies and academic research and has 6 members of the faculty members. A number of meetings were held to discuss several issues, most importantly the distribution of the board’s tasks into 3 academic units: Recruitment Unit, Promotion Unit and Publishing and Translation Unit.
