The Tree Week

Within the framework of the activities of the Tree Week, a program entitled "Plant a tree today to sleep under its shadow tomorrow” was held on Wednesday 12/6/1439 AH.
More than 50 seedlings of various trees were planted and were being monitored and preserved.
The director of the Housing Department in Zulfi helped children to participate in this event in order to instill the concept of loving and saving trees into them, as the teachings of our religion urges us, to take care of its natural role, which reduces the environmental problems like desertification.
In cooperation with the General Department of Operation and Maintenance, a number of trees were planted on Thursday 5/7/1439 H in the presence of the director and some administrators.
The Director of General of Facilities and Housing thanked the General Department of Operation and Maintenance for their continuous cooperation.
Such activities aim to enhance the value of trees and their importance in human life by:
• Supplying the atmosphere with the oxygen which is necessary for breathing and life.
• Purifying the atmosphere of carbon dioxide.
• Reduces the high temperature.
• Protection of the crust from erosion factors in the soil which may lead to desertification.
