FOUNDING COMMITTEE OF FUTURE RESEARCH INITIATIVE’S MEETING OF 2ND PHASE HELD

In line with the approval of Majmaah Rector to embark on the second phase of Future Researcher Initiative (FRI) – supervised by the Center for Original Initiatives -, a coordinating meeting was held included Offices of the Dean for Community Service and Scientific Research on one side as representatives of MU, and departments of education in Majmaah and Zulfi, on the other side.
The meeting focused on discussing the mechanisms of implementing the second phase of the initiative.
Dr. Omar Al-Sharyufi, Dean of Community Service, began the meeting by commending the efforts exerted by the founding committee during the first phase and stressed the necessity of adhering to indicators and expectations set by the committee for the second phase.
The Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Thamer Al-Harbi, highlighted the mechanisms of making this initiative more outreached and emphasized that research outcomes should be original. The outcomes of this initiative, Dr. Al-Harbi added, should be shared in the scientific research day held by MU as well as the local and international events of research inventions.
The major outcomes of this meeting are: setting the action plan and preparation to conduct a series of training programs on scientific research skills for students.
