Aim of the course
Objectives of the course:
• Identifying the necessary the foreign language listening skills for beginners .
• Identifying the necessary the foreign language reading skills for beginners .
• Learning lots of vocabulary items for better foreign language learning and acquisition .
• Using an online monolingual dictionary .
Summary: the trainer introduced the importance of learning English as a foreign language for work and daily life, and highlighted that learning a language takes months if not years of hard work. Learning should be through difference sources with drawing a balance between all skills
A video was then played to train students on the listening skill followed by a reading skill activity. The trainer encouraged students to participate in class and consider their feedback.
A recommendation was made to conduct a one-semester course next year.
