ARABIC LANGUAGE DEPARTMENT HOLDS A SEMINAR TITLED (THE MORAL IDEALISM IN ANTARA’S POETRY)

The Arabic Department at Zulfi College of Education held a seminar to discuss a paper on (The Moral Idealism in Antara’s Poetry) by Dr. Abdullah Mohammed Al Amin, an associate professor in the Department. The meeting took place on Wednesday 11/1/1438 AH at 11.30 am, and was held in the Department Head Office. At first, Dr. Al Amin provided a brief summary of his paper, including the main ideas, the goal and the proposed plan on how to approach the subject. Then, he discussed a number of examples of moral idealism with the present faculty members from the department. In addition to this, the seminar included the following topics: 1- Pre-Islamic poetry is full of moral values. 2- Islam praised moral values in pre-Islamic poetry. 3- There are moral values in Antara Bin Shaddad’s poetry worthy of research. 4- Antara Bin Shaddad made a strong reputation for himself among his people, the Arabs, and other nations with his strong moral code and rare courage.
