The following policies are applicable to all administrative units at the university including individuals, dean’s offices, vice-rector’s offices, colleges and units.
To maintain a high level of security and confidentiality, individual users should take into consideration the following policies:
- Individual users are responsible for their own actions. The use of email facilities by individuals at the University of Majmaah assumes and implies compliance with this policy.
- Individual users must not engage in any illegal practices such as hacking, unauthorized access, transmission of viruses and/or any act that may result in disrupting works, all of which will be penalized by the law.
- The exchange of any inappropriate email content outlined below is prohibited. Users receiving such email should immediately contact IT Dean’s Office via ([email protected]).

• Infringes on another person’s copyright, trade or service mark, patent, or other property right
• Fishing or using unanimous identity to obtain confidential details of users such as passwords, ID.
• Distribute emails that promote race, porn and political activities.
• Sending unwanted or voluntary email contents
• Is excessively violent, incites violence, threatens violence, or contains harassing content;
• Sending emails that violate the law of CAN-SPAM or any similar laws
• Using or attempting to use the accounts of others without their permission.
• Using Office 365 to defraud other users.
• Intentionally distributes viruses, worms, Trojan horses, malware, corrupted files, hoaxes, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature.
- You should not share your reveal your personal information with others
- Individual users should not exchange their user names and/or passwords
- Avoid using the university email for personal business unless it is authorized by the university
- Username and password of individual users should not be shared or revealed with others

- In the event of having a suspension that the password is leaked, you should change it immediately and report to IT department via (es.mu.edu.sa).
- All individuals have the right to participate in email groups that serve work purposes.
- In the event of not using the email for 90 days, it will be deactivated
- Individual users are deleted from all groups when he/she is not working at the university
- Individual users of the university email can avail of all the Office 365 available features for work purposes.
