A Visit to the College of Applied Medical Sciences

The Science and Technology Unit under the supervision of Dr. Saeed bin Saleh Banawas held a meeting with the MA program students of the College of Applied Medical Sciences to introduce the Grants-programs offered by King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology for graduate students.

This program is part of the strategic programs of the national research and development.

The objective of this program is to carry out original research, which is also one of the requirements for MA and PhD students to earn their degree, and improve the skills of research to achieve the kingdom's vision in building knowledge society and knowledge-based economy.

King Abdul-Aziz City for Science and Technology has developed some indicators that are among the objectives of this program and these are:
• Encouraging outstanding graduate students to conduct authentic research in various fields
• Developing scientific skills to elevate the kingdom's status as a pioneer in science, technology and innovation
• Funding scientific and technological discoveries and establishing the necessary foundation for building a knowledge society and a knowledge-based economy
• Enhancing the culture of joint research among graduate students in public and private institutions
