THE SCHOLARSHIP AND TRAINING COMMITTEE HOLDS ITS NINETEENTH MEETING AND ISSUES A NUMBER OF DECREES

The Scholarship and Training Committee held its seventeenth meeting of the academic year 1435/1436 AH dated 20/03/1436 AH, and its eighteenth and nineteenth meetings dated 28/03/1436 AH, which were chaired by His Excellency Prof. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Shaaya’a, the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, and attended by the members of the Committee. His Excellency stated that sixteen topics on the agenda of the Committee have been discussed related to sponsoring and promoting a number of post graduate students from the University. His Excellency the Rector of the University gave his gracious approval to the following faculty members: - teaching assistant, Suad Bint Sheikh Sidi Walad Buna, Medical Laboratories specialty, a scholarship to study English Language at the University of Southern California in the USA. - teaching assistant, Ya'kub Ben Zebin Bin Hasher Al Otaibi, Mathematics specialty, a scholarship to study English Language at the Institute of Algonquin College in Canada. - lecturer, Abdulrahman Bin Mane' Al Qahtani, Medical Devices Technology specialty, a scholarship to study for a doctorate at the new University of Wales. - lecturer, Fahed Bin Abdulrahman Al Duraibi, Networks specialty, a scholarship to study for a doctorate at Maryland University in the USA. - teaching assistant, Abdulmonem Bin Abdullah Al Abdulmonem, Management Information Systems specialty, a scholarship to study English Language at the Kaplan Institute in Australia. - lecturer, Hamad Bin Saleh Al Hadian, a scholarship to study for a doctorate in Computing Sciences at the University of Glasgow in the UK. His Excellency also granted his approval to upgrade the scholarship of the following students: - the student Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz Aj Ajaji from the language study stage to a preparatory program in the Medical Bioinformatics specialty at Rutgers University in The USA. -the student Faris Bin Ibrahim al Salameh from Master Degree to study for a doctorate in Computer Sciences at the University of Florida in the USA. - the student Abdulmajid Bin Saleh Al Rashed from the Language study stage to a Masters degree in Linguistics at the California state University in the USA. Several other matters were also approved, the most important of which was the approval of a scientific trip request for the student Nasser Bin Mohammad Al Sharif under the title of "Data Collection Trip".
