GRADUATION CEREMONY OF MU’S 11TH AND 12TH BATCHES PATRONIZED BY RIYADH GOVERNOR PRINCE FAISAL

Under the patronage of Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal Al-Saud, and in the presence of MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, vice-rectors and deans, MU held a graduation ceremony for the 11th and 12th batches amid precautionary measures.

The ceremony began by the national anthem followed by footage showing previous convocations patronized by Riyadh Governor.

After listening to a recitation of Holy Quran by the student Sultan Al-Mojel, Prince Faisal delivered a virtual speech from his office during which he expressed his gratitude for taking part in this event.

Conveying warms congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prince Faisal commended the university for its vital role in improving the quality of tertiary education, congratulating graduated students, and wishing them success in their future endeavor.

Due to Covid-19 safety measures, a graduation march took place on behalf of all students, which was broadcasted live.

In a speech delivered to audience, the dean of Admission and Registration pointed out that the total number of students who graduated since its establishment exceeded 50,000 in difference majors, highlighting that the university, after obtaining the institutional academic accreditation, has contributed immensely to the development of this nation.

At the request of MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, the university, added the dean, intends to serve the governorates and centers located within its geographical area by increasing the admission capacity and opening new majors. That was made possible via a full-fledged electronic system allowing students to entertain the best academic services remotely, particularly amid the current pandemic situation.

The dean concluded his speech by extending his congratulations to the graduates, reminding them that this stage of their life is important, and its success is determined by their engagement in serving this nation to achieve its ambitious vision.

A speech was delivered by the student Dhari Al-Rashidi on behalf of all graduates, expressing their happiness and thanking the university for organizing this ceremony amid this difficult situation due to the pandemic.

Following the medical students’ oath, the university rector gave a thank you speech to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unconditional support to the education sector; to the sponsor of this ceremony Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bander for being concerned about the university over the past years; and to the university staff for their unfailing commitment to achieve this success.  

The ceremony ended by awarding outstanding students by MU rector and memorial photos were taken.
