Rector Sponsors Electronic Teaching Award's Second session Ceremony

The University Rector Dr. Khaled Bin Saad AL Migrin sponsored the second session of the electronic teaching ceremony award in the sections of faculty D2L Use and Student Electronic Participation. The event took place in the University main campus theater in Majmaah and gathered the university vice rectors, deans, and Department Managers. The Vice dean for academic affairs in the Electronic and Distance Learning Deanship Dr. Khaled Bin Nashi AL Mudaibri took the floor first and welcomed the University Rector and the audience and reviewed the first session of the award and the number of participants highlighting the rising participation in the 2nd session. Omar Bin Mohamed AL Mezal, student at College of Education, took then the floor to deliver students speech where he praised the continuous support the Rector gives to students and pointed to the fact that this award encourages students to show their creativity in e-learning which in turn brings benefits to their future professional lives. The floor was then given to the Rector, sponsor of the ceremony who congratulated the awarded faculty members and students urging them for more effort to upgrade the university to more advanced positions. Dr. Ali Bin Hmoud AL Harbi the vice dean of development and quality in the deanship of e-learning and the scholarship holder the lecturer Faisal Bin Hakem AL Shammari were then honored for their contributions and achievements at the university level. The organizing parties honored then the committee members of the jury and the faculty members awarded within the branch of excellence in the use of the learning management system D2L. Dr. Ahlem Desouki from the college of education in Zilfi won the first prize. The second prize went to Dr. Amira Maghawri from the college of Education in Majmaah while the third position was equally granted to Mr. Kamel Ali Smida from the College of Applied Medical Sciences and Dr. Mohamed Medhat Youssef from the College of Sciences and Humanities at Houtat Sudir. The other participants in the prize were also honored as an encouragement for their participation. After that, the committee awarded the prizes for the winning students in the section of the University Rector Award for Student E-Learning Participation. The College of Sciences and Humanities at Houtat Sudir won the first three prizes for this year's edition represented in order of merit by the students Noura Abdulaziz AL Mukhimar who won the first prize and Fay Abdulaziz AL Haidari who won the second proze and Nada Abdullah AL Faisal for the third prize.
