A seminar by Department of Computer Science and Information on "Skin cancer Detection"

The Scientific Research Committee at the Department of Computer Science and Information held a seminar entitled: “Skin cancer Detection” presented by Dr.: Mohamed Wajih from the Department of Computer Science and Information.

Dr. Wajih reviewed the abnormal skin cancer of skin cells that grow on the skin exposed to sunlight and the types of Skin cancer may also appear on areas of the body that are not exposed to the sun.

There are three main types of skin cancer, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and exocrine melanoma.

Artificial intelligence is used in the detection of skin cancer. It It has proven its effectiveness in many areas such as image recognition and classification among applications, facial recognition, traffic lights, early detection of skin and breast cancer, and other important applications.
