Faculty of Sciences Holds a Workshop for Training Students on Electronic Learning System (D2L)

As the University is going in the direction of enforcing electronic learning system and since Faculty of Sciences is keen to apply the system and encourage all the teaching staff and students and as per the directives of the Dean of Faculty of Sciences, Electronic Learning Unit in the Faculty held several training courses for students in varied departments, and the activities of these courses have started. In fact, a workshop was held for the students of Department of Medical Laboratories in the presence of his Excellency Dr. Mohammad Aloboudi, the Dean of Faculty of Sciences, his Excellency Dr. Mufawwaz Alharbi, the Faculty vice Dean for Quality and Dr. MustafaIraqi, the director of electronic learning unit in the Faculty. The workshop was held by Dr. Marwan Abdullatif, the coordinator of electronic learning unit in Department of Medical Laboratories. The workshop presented to the audience how to access the system, how to register student’s personal data, how to access the content of the course, how to submit assignments, how to access electronic examinations, how to access and initiate discussions and how to keep in contact with the teaching staff and classmates through the website. At the end of the course, his Excellency the Dean encouraged the students to get involved and be active in communicating with teaching staff electronically, and informing the faculty in the event there are obstacles they may face in the system so that the faculty will resolve them.
