A Workshop entitled “Academic Advising in Student Academic Life” by Department of Accounting

As part of its plan to promote the culture of academic advising among students, the Department of Accounting conducted a workshop entitled “Academic Advising in Student Academic Life”.
Presented by Dr. Amjad Al-Sharafa’a, Dr. Fahad Hayder and the member of academic advising committee at the college, Dr. Albasheer Al-Farydi, the workshop addressed several topics including:
- Importance for students to contact their academic advisors on regular basis to help them in making right decisions.
- Follow study plan to overcome challenges
- Causes of low GPA and suggestions to improve it
- Identify students’ personal problems that hinder his academic progress and help out in adopting positive ideas
- How to prepare for final exams
- Rights and duties of students according to the exam regulation
47 students attended the workshop which ended by a Q&A session.
The college is pleased to thank Dr. Amjad Al-Sharafa’a, Dr. Fahad Hayder and Dr. Albasheer Al-Farydi for running the workshop.
