Overview of SAR

The North Train Project (SAR) is one of the largest development projects in the Kingdom in the last ten years. The project, which was launched in 2017, is in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and provides a fast and safe inter-city mobility service. Part of its revenues are rationalizing energy and protecting the environment according to the vision's goals.
The North Train project was established by the state with the aim of providing a convenient and safe transportation service using railway that links the Kingdom's cities.
Numerous services are offered on the train comparable to the services provided on international flights and trains. This will help business travelers - with its spacious and comfortable seats - to accomplish their tasks during the journey. The train also provides free Wi-Fi, fresh meals and refreshments.
By the end of September 2019, the train has carried more than 730 thousand passengers, and the train timetable’s was 93%.
The trip duration between Riyadh and Majmaah is half the time of driving between the two cities.
