Responsibilities Service and Support Request Policy

- To request service or support from the Networking Unit:  Submit a request via the e-Services System at MU e-Portal  The request must include details of the beneficiary such as name, location, contact  Services can’t be delivered without submitting a request via the e-Services System  For requests received from female campus, contact details of the coordinator should be added  Requests are processed maximally within 48 hours  For requests associated with new buildings, renovation and establishing labs, the Department of Networking should be contacted officially to inform the contractor with the required standards of networking - Usage Policy To access the university internet, users should meet the following requirements:  The computer must be added to the university domain  The computer must have an updated antivirus software  In the event of accessing wireless, the computer’s system must be Windows 10  Users are not allowed to use more than 2 devices to access wireless  For websites that are not supposed to be blocked or vice versa, users should notify the networking unit via the e-Services System  For remote access to any of the university computers or servers, users must submit a request via the e-Services System  Internet users at MU must adhere to the university’s policies and regulations  The Networking Unit has the right to disable the internet for users who are found to download large amount of data or software that disrupt the network
