The Official in Charge Speech

In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most Compassionate; Prayer and peace be upon His Prophet On behalf of the staff of the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development, I am pleased to welcome the visitors of the Deanship website through which we attempt to communicate and interact with the University community as a means for achieving the Deanship’s goals. In Majmaah University (MU), the activities for enhancing the quality of academic accreditation remain one of the most important priorities of the University's leadership. Therefore, the great and continued support to the Deanship has been always present to contribute to its role in serving and helping MU institutionally and programmatically to move forward to achieving the high quality. The academic accreditation of the higher institutions- as one of the most important means of insuring performance quality– is nationally based on the eleven-quality standards set by the National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation (standard guide and other publications of the commission can be found on the Deanship website). Efforts have been, therefore, unified to make sure that MU administrative and academic performance meet the requirements of those standards at all levels; not only to achieve the minimum requirements, but also to strive through the processes of continuous improvement towards reaching higher levels and investing every possible means to achieve that, including the measurement of the performance indicators and the procedure of reference comparisons with good performance practices. Despite the big and continuous efforts made by MU to guarantee a high quality and achieve the academic accreditation requirements, the quality, in its overall sense and everyday practices, would never be fulfilled without everyone’s knowledge of and belief in it, as well as their support and participation to achieving it in accordance with the common responsibility shared by everyone. Allah’s willing, this year, the development project will accomplish its objectives, fulfilling several fruitful achievements influencing the activities and practices of the quality in MU. The work will culminate in writing the institutional self-report of the University in its final form in order to be ready for this year during which MU will be seeking institutional accreditation through the National Commission for Academic Accreditation. We wish the decent visitor would find interest and entertainment in browsing the Deanship website. We would also highly appreciate your interaction or development proposals aiming at improving the service and achieve customer satisfaction. Finally, I would warmly thank everyone who has made any effort towards improving quality in the different units of the University. Moreover, special thanks go to His Excellency the Rector, Dr. Khalid Bin Saad Al-Muqrin, the vice deans, deans, managers and all the University staff. Finally, all praise and thanks be to Allah for His grace and endless merits.
