Civil and Environmental Engineering Department
The importance of Civil Engineering is globally recognized. Therefore, the college of Engineering has established a full-fledged civil engineering department to produce civil engineers to meet the demand of ever growing development in the Kingdom. A civil engineer is characterized by the ability to design, construct, and maintain various engineering installations, such as buildings, bridges, reservoirs, dams, roads, drinking water and irrigation systems and drainage and sewage systems.

The main roles of Majmaah University are to provide academic and research services and serve the community. Albeit, the university had diversified its service offerings to include Research, Studies offerings, Consulting, Training and Development and other added on services, in order to better serve the local community of Majmaah and the surrounding areas, thereby Prince Salam Institute is considered one of the main strategic byproducts of our young university. The institute derives its strength from a number of prominent academics and trainers working for the university.
Objectives
The College of Engineering in Majmaah aims to achieve the following:
- To make the students acquire the basics of technology, scientific knowledge and thinking required for engineering work.
- To enable the students to apply the engineering knowledge, make analyses, design projects and solve engineering problems.
- To make the students communicate using modern technology and engineering information in a way that qualifies them to excel in the professional world.
Computer Engineering and Networks Department
The importance of computer and communication systems and computer networks is increasing with the development of modern technology. So there is the dire need for specialists in this area particularly, after the introduction of computer and information technology in all aspects of life.
Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department
Mechanical Engineering is the branch of engineering concerned with the design, manufacturing, installation, and operation of engines and machinery. It is a broad specialization that has to do with all areas of life. Mechanical engineering is used, for example, in the space industry, aviation, in production, energy conversion, the mechanics of the buildings, transportation, and in the modeling and simulation information.
