Rector Dr. Khaled bin Saad al-Muqrin expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, and on what he and the delegation accompanying him received of the good reception, and warmly welcome by his highness during their visit to him in the presidential palace in Riyadh on Sunday. He told His Excellency that the purpose of the visit is to give thanks to His Highness the Prince of Riyadh, and for his positions towards the University and to report the achievements of the University during its first year. Where the Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz, is one of the greatest supporters of the idea the University establishment of and stood with it since its inception as it stands with all his emerging universities, and made a lot of guidance to us. AlMuqrin pointed out that we listened to his of encouraging words, and the proper guidance and valuable tips, His praising of the successes of the University is the spot of our appreciation and his admiration to its achievements is the core of our pride and glory A His Highness mentioned that Majmaa’ University is a stream of science and knowledge and will have a significant impact on the the long run by reducing the pressure on universities in the city of Riyadh, and will contribute to the creation of jobs for the people of the province Majmaa’h and neighboring provinces, which helps to social stability, and this view of His Highness is an evidence his great awareness of the future and precedent planning, and right vision. Also his asking about the university and the stages of development projects is an evidence of his keen and care. His Excellence gave thanks and gratitude to His Highness on behalf of all employees of the university for giving them his valuable time and what they found from the Prince of modesty, and of his distinct presence and interesting interview. And his directions one of premises of the university and that his words would be a
great incentive to continue to achieve and to improve the work and performance development, where he conveyed his spirit of enthusiasm to all university workers. He said His Excellency Dr. Khalid that the care and attention that you find in the University by His Highness considers the Prince of Riyadh’s care is an extension to the government's care of the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince - may Allah preserve them – for all Saudi universities and what the higher education gets of permanent follow-up and continuous encourage to move up, Allah willing, to the level of ambitions, hopes, and which will be a natural outgrowth for what is exerted by his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and His Excellency Vice President of a major effort and continuous work.
