Vice-Rector's Office for Educational Affairs Holds Workshop to Develop Academic Plans

 

Under the directive of the university Vice-Rector's Office for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmad Bin Ali Al-Rumaih, the Study Program and Development Department held a workshop under the title: "Academic Plan: Standards and Requirements" in the Vice-Rector's Office meeting hall, on Tuesday 8th Rabeea Al Awal 1438H. The workshop targeted Plan and Academic Programs Units' supervisors at the faculties. The workshop aimed at discussing standards, requirements and developmental stages of academic plans. The workshop reviewed exchanging knowledge and experiences regarding academic plan development. It identified academic plan current status in the faculties, the importance and mechanism of plans and academic programs' development and the obstacles facing this development. It also explained the mechanism of developed academic plans' accreditation regarding change level and authentication authority. The Chairman of Academic Programs and Development of the university's Vice Rector's Office for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdullah Bin Rufod Al-Sufiani welcomed Plans and Academic Programs Units' supervisors, explaining the importance of the workshop in exchanging experiences and identifying the obstacles facing academic plans development. He also stressed the importance of developing the academic plans in accordance with the national and international standards. They also discussed the mechanism of partial changes accreditation in the academic plans at different levels. At the end of the workshop it was recommended that all supervisors should share the workshop's outcomes with the Study Plan Committees through conducting workshops
