‘PAY ATTENTION’ CAMPAIGN FOR HEAVY VEHICLES DRIVERS LAUNCHED BY MU

The Traffic Safety Awareness Center ‘Salik’ at MU launched a campaign for heavy vehicles drivers to increase their safety awareness while driving.
The campaign, under the theme” pay attention”, aimed to educate drivers of heavy vehicles to be more cautious while driving on main roads and inside cities.
Similar raising-awareness activities were held for truck drivers to promote the traffic safety awareness and to avoid some common mistakes.
Moteb Al-Maymoni, Manager of the General Administration of Services, said that at the request of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren and the follow-up of the Vice-Rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, a number of awareness-raising initiatives were held for the university students and staff and community members in line with the national transformation program 2020 and the kingdom’s vision 2030.
“This campaign targeted drivers of heavy vehicles in particular due to the high risk these vehicles may cause on main roads” added Al-Maymoni who extended special thanks to the team of ‘Salik’ for their efforts to achieve the university’s goals with regard to awareness-raising of safety.
