TO PROMOTE THE IMPORTANCE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY, MU HOLDS AN EXHIBITION UNDER THE THEME 'CREATIVE FINGERS'

Patronized by MU rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, the university held an exhibition for traffic safety entitled ‘Creative Fingers’ in the presence of vice-rectors, the director of Civil Defense in Majmaah, Colonel Hamad Al-Manae, the directors of Traffic Departments in Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghat and Hawtat Sudair, Colonel Naif Al-Hurais, Lieutenant Hassan Shaqir, Lieutenant Emad Al-Tuwaijri and Captain Hesham Al-Manae. The exhibition was also attended by a delegation of the Saudi Art Association, headed by Dr. Manal Al-Ruwayshed, CEO.  

The exhibition was associated with a ceremony that began by a speech for the director of Traffic Safety Center ‘Salik’, Mr. Abdel Aziz Al-Otaibi, who pointed out that the aim of this exhibition is to promote the significance of traffic safety among the university staff and students as well as the community located within the university geographical area.

‘Salik’ Center, added Mr. Al-Otaibi, was established by MU and has conducted over 60 initiatives for students, staff and community members on traffic safety, highlighting that the current exhibition is an attempt to create a platform for students to show their art works that focus on traffic safety.

In a speech delivered by Dr. Al-Ruwayshed, CEO, she valued the partnership among the Association, MU and traffic departments in the region to educate the public about the importance of traffic safety. Commending the university’s role in traffic safety, Dr. Al-Ruwayshed considered ‘Salik’ Club and the wide-range of programs it offers a step-forward to achieve the Kingdom’s vision.

Expressing his gratitude for hosting important partners, MU rector pointed out that MU, as an educational institution, has far-reaching goals beside education, and that are: research and community service. With that in mind, Dr. Al-Muqren said tat ‘Salik’ Club is a case that has successfully conducted several programs and initiatives, exceed 60 to educate the community about traffic safety.

 The success of the university, added MU rector, is determined by its partnership with public and private sectors, emphasizing the vital role of students in such events.

After the ceremony, MU rector launched the exhibition and visited all of its sections.

A memorandum of understanding was signed during the exhibition between ‘Salik’ and the Association to promote the importance of traffic safety. The MoU was signed Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, the vice-rector, and Dr. Al-Ruwayshed.
