PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES TAKEN BY GENERAL ADMINISTRATION OF SERVICES TO PROTECT UNIVERSITY STAFF AND STUDENTS

The General Administration of Services (GAS) has taken several precautionary measures to fight against Covid-19 and to protect the university staff and students as well as the various segments of the community. Through its different departments (Transportation – Shifting- Road Safety Traffic), the GAS is conducting virtual meetings with the university staff and beneficiaries to ensure the best quality of services are provided to them.

Through the Routes and Crisis Management Platform, routes were set to operate daily and ensure the safety of students, drivers, and field workers. The highest possible precautionary measures are implemented such as sterilizing buses, and courses are conducted to educate beneficiaries about the new situation.

The same protocols are implemented for both faculty members and staff and they are transported in limited numbers.

There are also special regulations for heavy vehicles loading/unloading procedures, and they are sterilized and washed after every shift.

The Road Traffic Safety “Salik” and the Weather Extreme Unit – through several courses and programs - have ramped up the awareness and training level among the university staff and community members about issues related to traffic and weather.

The director of the GAS, Mr. Moteb al-Maymoni, extended his thanks to MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, for allowing transportation routes to operate daily for internship students; to the vice-rector, Prof. Musallam al-Dosari, for his support and follow-up to meet the needs of beneficiaries; and to all administrations that backed the GAS in running its work professionally.
