The Volunteering and Community Service Unit at the College of Nursing organized an online awareness webinar titled "Advancing Women's Health: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Awareness and Cervical Cancer Prevention." The session was delivered by Dr. Najlaa Hassan Abou El-Dahab and aimed to increase awareness of disease prevention, early detection, and women's health.
The webinar introduced participants to the human papillomavirus (HPV), explaining how it is transmitted, its associated symptoms and health risks, and strategies for prevention. It also highlighted the importance of regular screening and its role in reducing the risk of cervical cancer.
The session featured active participation through questions and discussion, helping to strengthen health awareness and reinforce the importance of preventive care.
