MU hosts Seminar on Health and Safety in Laboratories

The General Administration of Occupational Health and Environment, in collaboration with the College of Nursing and the University Healthcare Facilities, organized a health awareness seminar titled "Public Health in Laboratories." The event was held at the College of Nursing in Hawtat Sudair and attended by faculty members, staff, and students.

The seminar aimed to promote safe laboratory practices and highlight the importance of applying occupational health and safety standards to reduce potential risks in teaching and research laboratories. It also emphasized the role of effective safety practices in protecting people, preserving the environment, and supporting high-quality academic and research outcomes.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Amr El-Sayed Jaballah and Ibrahim bin Hamad Al-Mufarrej, who discussed key safety guidelines, the proper handling of laboratory materials and equipment, and practical approaches to identifying and minimizing common laboratory hazards. The session reinforced the importance of fostering a strong culture of health and safety across the University community.
