The College of Nursing conducts a Course Titled: “Psychological and Social Counseling for Nursing Students”

The Guidance, Counseling, and Student Rights Unit at the College of Nursing organized a virtual training course titled “Psychological and Social Counseling for Nursing Students,” presented by Dr. Naتlaa Hassan Abu Al-Dahab.

The course highlighted the importance of psychological and social counseling in supporting nursing students throughout their academic journey, particularly in light of the academic pressures and intensive clinical training they encounter. It emphasized the role of psychological counseling in helping students manage stress and anxiety, build self-confidence, and develop effective decision-making skills.

The course also explored the role of social counseling in enhancing communication and teamwork skills, as well as supporting students’ adaptation to both the university and professional environments. It further showed that comprehensive counseling services contribute positively to academic performance and help reduce psychological stress among students.

At the end, the importance of counseling services was highlighted which will contribute to the preparation of competent nursing graduates capable of delivering high-quality and compassionate healthcare services.
