20250804812The College of Nursing organized a workshop titled “Leadership Experiences in the Path of Knowledge and Expertise in Nursing Specialties”, held at the winter tent with the participation of faculty members, staff, and students.
The workshop hosted Dr. Sharifah Al-Assiri, Vice Dean for the Female Students’ Section, Associate Professor, and Consultant in Critical Care and Cardiac Nursing. She shared a rich leadership experience that combined academic insight with hands-on clinical practice, offering real-world perspectives on professional leadership in both clinical and administrative nursing settings.
The workshop covered several key themes, including the concept of nursing leadership, leadership responsibilities, building professional knowledge, linking expertise to practice, effective leadership communication within healthcare teams, decision-making and problem-solving, professionalism and ethics, and exploring future opportunities for nursing career pathways and self-development.
The workshop adopted an engaging, discussion-based approach that encouraged the exchange of experiences and the analysis of real workplace scenarios. It emphasized managing work-related pressures, emotional regulation, prioritization, and ethical, professional decision-making.
The workshop concluded with a summary of key learning outcomes and the presentation of practical, actionable recommendations aimed at enhancing leadership growth and professional readiness among participants.
