The College of Nursing organized an awareness and orientation program titled “First Aid” on Wednesday at the Female Section’s Conference Hall.
The program, which was presented by Dr. Najla Hassan Abu Al-Dahab and Dr. Ameera Yahya Bushra, targeted female students using university transportation services.
The program addressed key topics such as the concept and importance of first aid, first responder skills, first aid kits, and procedures for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as well as handling bleeding, wounds, fractures, nosebleeds, choking, and seizures.
Participants also took part in hands-on demonstrations to practice safe responses to emergency situations.
The program aimed to equip students with essential first aid knowledge and practical skills, allowing them to respond effectively to medical emergencies during transportation and promoting a stronger culture of safety and preparedness among students and the wider community.
