Department of Law holds Open Meeting for Students

Within the framework of its plan to help students to adapt themselves to new academic life, the Department of Law held an open meeting for the first batch.
The meeting was held in the presence of the dean, Dr. Waleed Al-Bisher, the head of the department, Dr. Abdelrahman Al-Abdelkareem and faculty members Dr. Masha’al Al-Ahmadi and Ms. Amena Aba-Hussein.
Launched by a welcoming speech, the dean pointed out that the reason of accepting students to join the department is to have qualified graduate students who are capable of contribute in the development of this country. He concluded his remark by encouraging students to be diligent and work hard to be knowledgeable.
The head of law department, Dr. Al-Abdelkareem said that in line with the late developments of engaging women in the judicial system, accepting this batch marks a milestone in the history of the college and the department as they will be play a significant role in having graduates who are qualified to meet the demand of law profession in this country. “Students should follow the study plan and academic advising services”, added Dr. Al-Abdelkareem.
The meeting was concluded by a workshop presented by both Dr. Al-Ahmadi and Ms. Amen on the academic advising in the department of law. The workshop addressed the following topics:
1. Introduction and goals of academic advising
2. Types of academic advising
3. Mechanisms of academic advising
4. Skills and tasks of academic advisor
5. Rules and regulations of study and exam
6. Procedures of registering a course
7. Other related topics
