MU RECTOR WELCOMES LEADERS OF ENGINEERING COLLEGE AND FACULTY MEMBERS NAMED MOST 2% INFLUENTIAL SCHOLARS

Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, MU rector, welcomed in his office a delegation of the College of Engineering, led by the dean, Dr. Saleh al-Dahsh, and the vice-dean for scientific research, Dr. Anas al-Munif. The delegation also included some faculty members who were named among the most 2% influential scholars in many fields according to the ranking of Stanford University. The study depends on many factors including the power of publications, the number of citations of researches and the participation in reviewing and editing the scientific researches in well-known international journals.

The ranking report – published at PLOS Journal (https://bit.ly/3n6dQ2R) - featured approximately 170 scientific fields and over 160000 scholars in 149 countries.

The dean extended his thanks to MU rector for receiving the team and his support to create an environment conducive to academia.

The faculty members named among the most influential scholars in the world are: Dr. Ahmed abo-Khalil, Dr. Ahmed Matook and Dr. Mohamed Khashif al-Din.

Commending the efforts expanded by the College of Engineering, MU rector attributed this success not only to the university strategic plans but also, and most importantly, to the recruitment of well-renowned faculty and researchers at the College of Engineering, and creating an academic environment conducive to excel.
