Criteria for recommending the establishment of scientific societies

- To avoid duplication and overlapping of Scientific societies affiliated with the various universities in the Kingdom and other national bodies.
- Not to establish Scientific societies specialized in a sub-specialty under an existing association and to replace it with a specialized scientific group under the existing association.
- The number of members who are specialized in the same area of the Scientific societies and who meet the working membership criteria, should be appropriate.
- Clarity of the vision, mission, and goals of the Scientific societies.
- To have a realistic vision of the expected resources of the Scientific societies and the private sector entities related to its field of specialization.
- Clarity of the internal rules of the Scientific societies specifying the rules governing scientific societies.
- There should be a clear reason to establish the Scientific societies as there are no other bodies that serve the area of specialization of the Scientific societies.
- Scientific societies should be scientific, not professional.
- Clarity of working members' titles. 
- To nominate at least five members for the founding committee.
