The Archives and Records Center organizes a Workshop in Collaboration with the National Center for Archives and Records

The Archives and Records Center at Majmaah University organized a workshop titled “Document Security,” in collaboration with the National Center for Archives and Records, under the patronage of the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shehri.

Prof. Al-Shehri emphasized that document security is a fundamental pillar in protecting administrative and academic achievements. He highlighted the importance of adhering to regulations governing document preservation, classification, and handling to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and institutional efficiency.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness among university staff about the importance of applying document security standards, introducing relevant regulatory frameworks, and showcasing best practices in records management, including preservation, classification, secure disposal, and electronic document management.

It also addressed key topics such as handling confidential documents, access and circulation controls, and employee responsibilities in safeguarding information. Practical examples were presented to enhance compliance and reduce risks associated with misuse or unauthorized disclosure of documents.
