Vice Rector chairs 4th Meeting of the Standing Committee for Academic Plans and Curricula

The Standing Committee for Academic Plans and Curricula held its fourth meeting under the ., at the Vice Rector's office.

The Committee reviewed a number of proposals aimed at enhancing the University's academic programs. These included the introduction of a new distance-learning diploma program for scholarship students, as well as updates to the course specifications for English language skills, academic writing, and artificial intelligence as part of the University's general education requirements.

The Committee also discussed proposed revisions to the University's Bridging Program regulations, taking into account feedback from academic units and the outcomes of students.

Prof. Al-Aboudi said it is important to improve academic programs and learning outcomes. He noted that locally offered programs should remain responsive to labor market needs, while internationally focused programs should align with national strategies.
