Majmaah University (MU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with King Khalid University. The agreement aims to develop standardized testing systems and adopt international best practices, as part of the University Excellence Forum held at King Khalid University on October 27–28, 2025, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Asir Region and Chairman of its Development Authority.

The MoU was signed on behalf of Majmaah University by Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Qifari, General Supervisor of the Office of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, and on behalf of King Khalid University by Dr. Asma Abdulrahman, Director of the Center for Assessment and Evaluation. The signing ceremony was attended by a number of academic leaders, representatives of Saudi universities, and members of civil society organizations at the university’s Exhibition and Conference Center.

The agreement outlines key areas of collaboration, including the development of discipline-based academic measurement standards, the creation of shared item banks, capacity building for technical teams, data analysis and exchange of evaluation results, and the development of supporting digital systems.

Both universities pointed out this partnership marks a pioneering step toward excellence in assessment practices.

The two parties exchanged signed copies of the agreement and emphasized the importance of continuing collaboration in areas of mutual interest to further strengthen academic development efforts at both institutions.
