Scholarship Department for Non-Saudi Students implements precautionary measures against COVID-19

At the request of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, and the follow-up of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih and the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, the Scholarship Department for Non-Saudi Students implemented precautionary measures in the dormitory of international students to fight against COVID-19.
These measures featured 9 procedures as follow:
First: Using all available means of communications, students’ awareness was raised on regular basis about the precautionary measures stipulated by the state.
Second: Make sure that gloves and sanitizers are available in the dormitory.
Third: set a timetable for personal and location hygiene that should be followed-up by the supervisor of every apartment
Fourth: All means of learning such as internet are provided
Fifth: Assign a supervisor for each building to conduct inspection tour daily
Sixth: Provide screening devices
Seventh: provide all necessary supplies for students to avoid going out
Eighth: display instructional sign boards inside buildings to guide students on how to protect themselves from COVID-19 by avoiding certain practices such as shaking, social distance, hygiene.
Ninth: submit daily reports about the situation in the buildings
The students extended their thanks to the university for the special care they receive since they arrived.
The current number of international students is 123 who are originally from 29 different countries.
The dean, Dr. Al-Ofaisan, expressed his appreciations to MU Rector and the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs for support and follow-up.
