MU participation in the International Forum of Ambassadors of Interfaith Dialogue

With a delegation from Saudi universities and the participation of more than twenty-five countries from all over the world, Majmaah University participated in the International Forum of Ambassadors of Interfaith Dialogue held from 24/2/1440 to 1/3/1440 in Tunisia.

The forum featured cooperation in all that achieves its goals.

On the morning of the second day, the delegation visited the city of Kairouan in addition to a few historic places such as the Center for Islamic Studies, the Higher Institute of Islamic Preaching and the Mosque of Uqba bin Nafi.

Having been received well, the delegation awarded commemorative plaques to the Center for Islamic Studies and the Higher Institute of Islamic Preaching for their meaningful contributions to the spread of moderate Islamic ideology.

On the third day of the forum, an open meeting was held with heads of delegations participating in the forum.

The official opening of the forum was followed by an awarding ceremony for the Minister of Religious Affairs in Tunisia before the start of the forum’s sessions.

On the fourth day, sessions titled “Islam and the dialogue of civilizations”, “Community Education for the Prevention of Extremism” and "Community and Human Development" as a Means to Spread Islam were held.

On the fifth day of the forum, a workshop on the preparation of the Ambassador's Guide was held followed by its reports.

The participation of the Saudi delegation were reflected on holding workshops and academic sessions with other delegations during the days of the forum.

On the penultimate day of the forum, the delegation visited the Embassy of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in Tunis and met with Ambassador Mohamed Mahmoud Al Ali who tanked the students for representing their respective universities and their country.

This was followed by the exchange of commemorative shields between the University delegation and the ambassador, and then a few photographs were taken.

On the same day, a visit was made to the University of Tunis and the University of Zaytouna, where the delegation was received by the President of the University.

The delegation toured the facilities of the two universities and met with the heads of departments.

The Dean of Student Affairs thanked Majmaah University Rector and vice rectors for their support and follow up of student activities.
