The Academic Advising Committee organized a workshop at the College of Business Administration on Tuesday 21-2-1440 to 40 for new students entitled "Academic Advising and Psychological Preparation of New Students".
The workshop was attended by the Chairman of the Academic Advising Committee Dr. Haidar Bashir Mohammed and a member of the academic Advising committee in the department Dr. Sami Abdul Rahman.
The workshop addressed the following aspects:
• The difference between primary and tertiary education
• The relationship of the university student with the university, college, department, faculty member, academic advisor and with others on campus
• Adaptation patterns to the university environment.
• Things that help to achieve success and excellence in university life
• The concept of academic advising and its fields
• Mechanisms for activating academic advising
• The study plan of the Department of Law, course selection and withdrawal
• Course prerequisites
At the end of the workshop, faculty members answered students' questions.
