In the course of improving the quality offered by the University, MU Vice-Rector Dr. Musallam Al-Dosari, chaired the sessions of astronomical observatory board. Several topics were discussed in the meeting, most importantly, the establishment of Saudi Scientific Association for Observing Crescents. The proposal of land for observatory, which was submitted to the ministry of municipalities, was also discussed. The board recommended the importance of completing this facility to be used in upcoming observatory occasions.
