RENEWABLE AND SOLAR ENERGY PROJECTS FOR JAMARAT BY MU STUDENTS GAINS THE ATTENTION OF MECCA GOVERNORATE

In response to the invitation made by His Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saudi – Governor of Makkah Region and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee-, Majmaah University submitted a project for using the renewable energy for managing the movement of pilgrims during stoning the devil (Jamarat), and the benefit of solar systems and wind power in saving electricity at Jamarat buildings. 
 
The Government of Mecca has required further details about the project proposed by the two students; Thamer Al-Arfaj and Jehad Al-Nahid and sent an official invitation for the university. 
 
A delegation of MU headed by the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, the Dean of Engineering College, Dr. Abdullah Al-Abdelkareem and the two students visited the Government where they welcomed by the Advisor of Mecca emir, Dr. Hesham Al-Faleh who expressed his gratitude with the innovative idea and its importance.
