MU RECTOR: EXTRAORDINARY MEASURES FOR PROSPEROUS FUTURE

Following the announcement of the general budget for 2017, MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren commended the clear vision of the new budget which firmly seeks to establish a dynamic society and prosperous economy. The new budget is meant to create a new phase of development and sustainability for all government sectors.  MU Rector emphasized that the budget announcement comes amid economically volatile situations in several states, Saudi Arabia is no exception, causing a slowdown of global economic growth and a fall in oil prices. “This situation of instability was faced by prudent fiscal policies that shall strengthen the State’s economy to cope with the current economic and financial challenges, namely the adoption of Saudi Vision 2030 and its programs according to a comprehensive reform plan” he stated.  Dr. Al-Mugren maintained that the vision is not merely a set of ambitions, but exceeds that to include executive programs via strengthening and developing partnerships with the private sector. In his statement on the budget, Dr. Al-Mugren never forgot to commend the great attention paid to education in the new budget, through the establishment of new universities and following-up all their needs. MU Rector concluded his statement by expressing his appreciations to the government for the unwavering commitment to support Majmaah University to meet the international standards and serve the society at best.
